After spending all day in the kitchen preparing a lovely meal for your loved ones, what better way to kick off the event then with a batch of delicious Thanksgiving-themed cocktails to get the festivities started. 

Below is a list of 7 cocktails which we have pulled together to fit in perfectly with your turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie!

  1. Mother's Ruin Thanksgiving Punch

What better way to get the celebrations rolling then with a bowl of punch, packed full of autumnal flavors that will really get your guests in the spirit.

Ingredients

  • 8 white sugar cubes
  • 2 oz club soda
  • 4 oz gin
  • 2 oz cinnamon orange tea-infused sweet vermouth
  • 4 oz grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz lemon juice
  • 3 oz dry champagne
  • Grapefruit wheels

Instructions

In measuring cup, muddle, stir constantly, add ice, stir, and strain into punch bowl. Garnish with six grapefruit wheels.

This light and fizzy tipple is a wonderful addition to any Thanks-giving celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • Agave nectar, to taste
  • Sparkling apple cider
  • Garnished with thyme and apple

Instructions

Pour gin in shaker, add lemon juice and agave nectar, shake, and then pour into a high ball glass and top with sparkling cider. Garnish with fresh thyme and an apple slice.

Ingredients

  • 4 sprigs rosemary, plus more for serving
  • 4 oz caster sugar
  • 1 liter Seltzer
  • 24 oz grapefruit juice
  • 12 oz vodka
  • Dash of bitters

Instructions

Simmer rosemary sprigs, sugar, and 4 oz water until sugar is dissolved: cool. Discard rosemary. Combine syrup, seltzer, grapefruit juice, vodka, and bitters. Serve over ice with rosemary sprigs.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz pumpkin spice vodka
  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz half and half
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 oz maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

Combine ice and all the cocktail ingredients, apart from cinnamon, in a cocktail shaker and mix vigorously. Line the rim of the cocktail glass with maple syrup and then dip it into the cinnamon, strain the cocktail into the glass and service with a cinnamon sprig.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz seltzer
  • 1 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup

Instructions

Combine seltzer, gin, syrup and lime juice and chill. Serve in a short glass, garnished with lime slices.

Spiced Mexican Hot Chocolate

What better way to end the evening by spicing up this sweet winter treat and getting cosy in front of the fire with a warm mug of boozy hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz whole milk
  • 2 oz half and half 
  • 1/2 oz dulce de leche
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 oz 70% dark chocolate
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 oz bourbon

Instructions 

Whisk together milk, half and half, dulce de leche, and cinnamon sticks in a large saucepan using our Zip Whisk. Bring to a simmer over medium heat using our SimmerMat , stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cover and let stand for 10 minutes. Return mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Gradually whisk in finely chopped 70% dark chocolate, whisking until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in pure vanilla extract, kosher salt, and bourbon. Discard cinnamon sticks and serve warm.

  1. Pomegranate Tonics

Pomegranate Tonics

If you have guests that would rather leave the alcohol to one side, or if you have been spending hours at a time in the kitchen and wish to quench your thirst with a refreshing mocktail, then there is nothing better than this.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 oz boiling water
  • 1/4 pomegranate molasses
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 oz tonic water
  • Lime twists

Place boiling water, pomegranate molasses, and honey in a small jar and whisk using our Zip Whisk until well-blended. Fill a tall glass with ice, then spoon the syrup over. Add about half the tonic water to the glass, stir to blend, then add the remaining tonic water - garnish with lime twists and serve.
