National Key Lime Pie Day Recipe

National Key Lime Pie Day Recipe

Do you love pie as much as we do? It’s National Key Lime Pie Day and we want to celebrate it right with this easy, quick recipe. But be warned, this recipe is so good it may need to be repeated over and over… and over again.

What you will need:

1 ½ cups of graham cracker crumbs

½ cup of melted butter

2 tsp. of key lime zest

4 large egg yolks

1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)

½ cup of Key lime juice

2 tbsp. sugar

First, let’s start off by preheating the oven to 375˚F. While the oven is preheating, mix together graham cracker crumbs, butter, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Now you will need a pan. But you don’t want to use just any pan. You want to use the Cooks Innovations 9-inch Tart Pan that is 100% non-stick so there is no need for greasing! Bake for 10 minutes then remove from the oven and let it cool.

Only a few more steps to go!

Now that the crust is ready, let’s mix together the main ingredients! In a bowl, mix the lime zest, Key lime juice, 4 egg yolks, and the sweetened condensed milk. Once the ingredients are completely mixed, pour it into the crusted pan and bake for 15 minutes. Finally, all you have to do is let the pie cool and enjoy! And for an even tastier finish feel free to add some whipped cream on top of your serving!
